I honestly think this is one of the best parks in Littlehampton. I have been to this park one million times. I have walked through it; I have cycled through it; I have been told off for cycling through it since they made it no cycling, and then have walked through it again.
It has provided a time-of-life entertainment for all of us. Bordered by trees, there is a small, but packed, playpark where I (sometimes hungover on an early Sunday morning) used to shove my once small son around on a roundabout while hoping he would eventually want to climb something I didn’t have to push.

Walking Northwards, towards the sea, one finds a small, mirror-like lake which provides a home to quacking, ravenous ducks and some grumpy swans. Depending on the time of year, these will be being followed around by tufty, grey goslings that still look like craft-shop rejects.
An art deco oasis on the edge of Littlehampton
Shelters stand to the left and right of the lake. They provide a nice view of the lake and the water birds that scoot around on the surface. Nesting platforms are provided for swans, coots and ducks so you may see some babies if you visit in the spring. It’s all there for you and is what goes to make this place one of the best parks in Littlehampton.

As you walk nearer the sea, past splashes of colour from borders teeming with flowers, there is a field where you can play ball games and run dogs. A miniature steam train carries passengers to and from Littlehampton, a short stroll from a cheerful, popular café. The café, like many of the places in this town, serves food of surprising deliciousness.

There is an art deco twinge to this part of the town and a bit of art deco history in Rustington. J.M. Barrie, author of Peter Pan, once lived nearby and apparently conceived of Peter and the Pan universe for children who were close relations of Daphne Du Maurier.
Getting to the best Park in Littlehampton
Mewsbrook is a 25 – 30 minute walk from Littlehampton train station. In the peak season, you can get the little steam train from Littlehampton sea front down to the park.
